What the Recipient Does

The circuit is complete when the recipient can answer. Everything in this chapter is a form of that answer.

תּוֹרָה

Infinity in finite letters. Divine wisdom that has consented to take a shape.

מִצְווֹת

When matter becomes a vessel. Leather becomes tefillin; the leather does not stop being leather.

תְּפִילָּה

Creation answers back. The Infinite gives breath; the breath becomes prayer.

בִּיטּוּל

The end of metaphysical self-sufficiency — and never the erasure of the self.

תְּשׁוּבָה

Return was possible because separation was never absolute.

דִּירָה בַּתַּחְתּוֹנִים

Why the Infinite desires the lowest place. The theological climax of the whole descent.
